I’m in Love with What I Do!

Starting a business is, let’s just say, “different”.

As a first-time business owner, I’m learning how to be out of my comfort zone on things I’ve never done before. The learning curve is steep, but that comes with the territory. I’m learning so much in the process!

🤷🏼‍♀️ We are all in sales no matter what we’re doing, but owning the true cycle of sales for your own brand is quite different

🧩 Building a business from the ground up is a very intricate process

🤦🏼‍♀️ Proper and customized education is key. For instance, Coaching is still a new concept to many and skepticism can be high

😮 Supporters you never knew existed will appear, while others will bail (it’s ok❤️)

💪 It is the best time to deeply lean into your strengths

🧭 Knowing your “why”, your values, strengths, etc. is SO important in anything you do. Without your compass, you are lost and might as well turn around and start over. DO NOT RELY ON WAZE TO GUIDE YOUR LIFE!

👀 Keep your eyes on the mission. Your community needs your service to help fuel the economy, culture, and resident well-being.

🙏🏻 A foundation of faith is most important, which is also why ☝️ is so important

I’m leaning on the fact that I’m living towards my legacy and I am where I’m supposed to be, no matter how curvy the road. I have faith that the challenge is allowing me to grow in ways I’ve never grown before which, in turn, will show me how to help others even more.

In one of my own coaching sessions, I blurted out, “My faith is my reality”. I had never heard myself say that before. I’ve learned to rely on my faith and my belief that things are how they are meant to be and everything happens for a reason.

So what, Brooke?!? 🤷🏼‍♀️

The moral of the story is:

🙌 We are more resilient than we give ourselves credit for
🙌 We have more solutions than we give ourselves credit for
🙌 We have more capabilities than we give ourselves credit for
🙌 We are capable of loving ourselves and our own journeys, celebrating our successes and failures, more than we already do

💎 You must continue to dig deep as you have many self-support systems! When your physical or mental health isn’t as strong (this happens to ALL of us), try leaning on your spirituality and faith for guidance.

Thanks to my coaches for providing me the space for this to come to fruition, for your unconditional support, and for the special nuggets that have opened my eyes that much more.

Additionally, the resources below have been great for me when the challenge has seemed too steep, the road too curvy, and the timing not right.

1. “Breath” by James Nestor
2. “Learned Optimism; How to Change Your Mind and Your Life” by Martin Seligman
3. Guide to Mindfulness magazine
4. “Positive Intelligence” by Shirzad Chamine
5. “Atlas of the Heart” by Brene Brown
6. “Mindful organization on LinkedIn: great posts

Perhaps they can be of benefit to you in whatever capacity makes sense.
